- Twelve F-5As were diverted from foreign sales and delivered to the USAF under the Skoshi Tiger program in 1965. Delivered to Williams AFB for use by 4503 TFW in 10.65, the 12 jets were transferred to Bien Hoa AB, South Vietnam, where they served with 602 TFS, 3 TFW. The aircraft were modified with AAR probes and re-designated F-5Cs and were transferred to the 522 TFS, South Vietnamese AF on 17.4.67.
