- F-104A 60788 was delivered to the 83rd FIS at Hamilton AFB on 6.5.58, which was the first operationl unit to receive the Starfighter in USAF service. Replaced by the F-101B Voodoo in 7.60, 60788 was transferred to the Taiwanese AF (ROCAF) in 1960 and reserialled 4217 and joined the 8th TFS/ROCAF. Taiwan was the first overseas customer to operate the F-104. It was subsequently delivered to Jordan in 9.69 and numbered 910 and served at Prince Hassan AB before being retired in 7.77.
