Image Description:
On 17th June 1917 German Zeppelin airship L48 was part of an attempted attack on London. It became lost and was then intercepted and destroyed by British fighters and shot down by Robert Saundby and others and crashed near the village of Theberton, Suffork, England. Sixteen members of the crew died in the crash, three survived but one later died from his injuries. Part of the framework of the Zeppelin itself is mounted in the porch of Theberton church.
