- Image Description:
- This the second Parnall Possum at Martlesham Heath in early 1926. This paticular aircraft (one of only two built) first flew from Filton on 27th April 1925. Both Possum aircraft were damaged beyond repair while testing at Martlesham. The Parnall Possum was an experimental bomber triplane, with a single, central engine driving wing mounted propellers via shafts and gears. The Parnall Possum was one the few large aircraft to have had its engine in its fuselage but propellers on its wings
