Image Description:
The Hawker Woodcock was a British single-seat fighter built by the Hawker Engineering Company. This particular Hawker Woodcock J7515 is in No.17 Sqdn markings. Built in 1925 to take part in the King's cup air race but crashed at Luton on 3rd July. Hawkers collected it and repaired it and elivered to No. 3 Sqdn on 28th July 1925. The photo shows it after transfer from 3 Sqdn to 17 Sqdn, which took plave om 8th March 1926.
