This World Airways Douglas DC-8-63 N802WA crashed soon after this photo was taken while it was operating a cargo flight for the Military Airlift Command from Travis AFB to Clark AFB via Cold Bay and Yokota AFB. The aircraft crashed into Mount Dutton at an altitude of 3500 feet on 8th September 1973 with the loss of 3 crew and 3 passengers.
