Image Description:
Balliol WN534 was built by Blackburn Aircraft in 1954 (one of 30) it served with the RAF college Cranwell and then sold for scrap in 1957, and cut up. After 30 years in a Manchester scrap yard, the cockpit section was saved by the Pennine Aircraft museum. They stored it and after 10 years donated it to the Boulton Paul Association. The cockpit section is now being restored as a wheelchair accessible exhibit.
