Aircraft Data
The twin-engined short to medium range Regional Jet family pioneered the 50 seater regional jet market. The prototype was based on the CL-601 business jet, but with stretched fuselage and new wings and undercarriage. An EFIS cockpit was also fitted.
The CRJ-900 is the ultimate stretch of the CRJ family. The cabin has further improvements, and the airframe has aerodynamic improvements that allow it to cruise higher and faster than earlier versions. Extended range versions are available.
