Aircraft Data
The twin-engined short to medium range Regional Jet family pioneered the 50 seater regional jet market. The prototype was based on the CL-601 business jet, but with stretched fuselage and new wings and undercarriage. An EFIS cockpit was also fitted.
The CRJ-700 was the first of the long fuselage family RJs. These were a near complete redesign, with stretched fuselages, new wings, systems and a completely changed interior, with more headroom. The 701ER and 701LR are extended range versions
