Image Description:
33816 was the last C-97 to be built and delivered to the USAF in 1956. It started its career with the 98th Air Refueling Sqn before being retired as a C-97G to MASDC at Davis Monthan in December 1965. It was returned to service in March 1970 after being converted to KC-97L standard and was operated by the 180th Air Refueling Sqn/Missouri ANG and frequently visited Rhein Main on the Operation 'Creek Party' deployments to USAFE, which ended in 1977.
