Image Description:
The Broward County Aviation Department conducted a two-day airport training drill in November 2014 at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. In this scenario, Drill Air Flight 2014, an Airbus A320, will be bound for Dallas with 154 passengers and six flight crew members on board. As the plane is rolling at 115 mph, about to lift off, the bus appears out of nowhere and strikes the plane's front landing gear at a high rate of speed. In the drill, 21 people will be injured and 15 people on the bus will die — but of course, that's all make-believe for training purposes. In reality, the training plane will be a purple, white and orange Boeing 727 jetliner that FedEx donated to the Broward County Aviation Department in March 2014.
