- Delivered to Qantas as 707-138 VH-EBA in July 1959. Converted to 707-138B with turbofans in September 1961. Operated by Pacific Western Airlines from 1969 until sale in October 1978. vThis was the first pure jet for QF, now preserved at Longreach.

The 707-100 entered commercial service in 1958 when Pan Am flew it from New York to Paris in eight hours and 41 minutes which was twice as fast as the previous propeller planes
