- The H-37A Mojave first flew on 12th December 1953 and the first of nine production helicopters for the US Army (54-993 to 54-1001) were delivered to Fort Rucker, Alabama for evaluation. Delivered in the summer of 1956, the type went on to serve in Vietnam and Europe before being retired in 1974.
